School Justice Panels
To further support restorative justice efforts in schools, the Juvenile Unit has implemented school-based justice panels that specifically handle offenses occurring on school grounds or during school-related activities. These panels provide students with a structured, community-focused alternative to formal prosecution.
As of June 10, 2025, two new districts, Pen Argyl Area School District and Bangor Area School District, were officially sworn in as part of the program. They join the existing school justice panels in:
-
Bethlehem Area School District
-
Easton Area School District
-
Northampton Area School District
Each district operates its own individual panel, bringing the total number of school-based justice panels in Northampton County to five.
