Northampton County District Attorney Stephen G. Baratta announces the arrest of Jonathan Michael Berrios, age 33, of Stroudsburg, for a bank robbery in Plainfield Township. District Attorney Baratta noted that “This arrest demonstrates important crime solving cooperation between local police and District Attorney detectives, and also demonstrates the critical importance of technology like our Flock cameras in identifying suspects.”
On February 7, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Slate Belt Regional Police responded to the First Northern Bank at 6663 Sullivan Trail in Plainfield Township for a bank robbery. Police interviewed witnesses and obtained video surveillance. Review of the surveillance video showed the male suspect arriving, entering the bank, and handing the teller a note. The note stated that the suspect had a gun and demanded cash. The suspect took approximately $3,200. The suspect then demanded his note back and fled to his Acura vehicle.
