District Attorney Baratta announces that John Thomas Smoke, a former School Resource Officer for Easton Area High School, was sentenced to 9 to 24 months, less two days, after pleading guilty to one count of Corruption of Minors.
On March 22, 2024, the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office was advised of an incident involving Officer John Smoke at Easton Area High School. Smoke was working as a sworn police officer employed by the Palmer Township Police Department. Smoke was assigned as a School Resource Officer at the time.
